Privacy policy

Sente Limited (“Sente”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in Hong Kong. Our registered office is Unit 1603, 16/F, Wing On Centre, 111 Connaught Road Central, Hong Kong.

This policy explains how we handle personal data in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong. It covers sente.asia, our emails and messages, and the services we run for our clients.

• When you contact us or book a demo: your name, email address, company, type of business, the time you pick and anything else you choose to tell us.
• When we work with you: business contact details for you and your colleagues, and the records needed to deliver and invoice our work.
• When you visit sente.asia: we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies. It records the pages you view, the site that sent you, your browser, device and country, and how fast the pages load.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data, and we ask you not to send it to us.

We use your personal data to:

• reply to you and arrange meetings and demos
• deliver, manage and invoice our services
• run, secure and improve sente.asia
• meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations

We will only send you marketing about our own services with your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will stop at no cost to you.

We build and run membership, loyalty and messaging systems for businesses. These include digital wallet passes (Apple Wallet and Google Wallet) and WhatsApp Business messages.

When you join a programme run by one of our clients, that client decides what personal data is collected and how it is used. We process it on their behalf and only on their written instructions. The client’s own privacy policy applies, and requests about that data should go to the client first. We will help them answer it.

For these services we may process your name, contact details, membership or pass details, visit and purchase history, and your messages with the business. We do not sell this data or use it for our own marketing.

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

• Service providers that host, store or send data for us: Cloudflare, which hosts sente.asia and counts visits; Cal.com, which takes demo bookings; Formspree, which receives a booking request when Cal.com cannot be reached; and Google, which runs our email and calendar.
• Providers that run our clients’ services: the hosts of each client’s member database and of our engine, and Meta, which delivers WhatsApp messages. Apple and Google come in when a wallet pass is issued. Each client receives the current list of these providers, with notice before it changes.
• Professional advisers such as our accountants and lawyers.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Each service provider may only use the data to provide its service to us.

Some of our service providers store data outside Hong Kong. When we use them, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data is protected to a standard comparable with Hong Kong law.

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires. Business and accounting records are kept for seven years, as Hong Kong law requires. Data we process for a client is deleted or returned when our work for that client ends, as our agreement with them sets out.

We use access controls and encryption in transit to protect the data we hold.

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you and ask us to correct it. We will reply within 40 days. We may charge a fee for providing a copy, which will not be excessive. You can also ask us to delete personal data we no longer need, and to stop using it for marketing. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong.

sente.asia sets no cookies. If that changes, we will update this section first.
